Sadly, seems so...They still haven't even fixed the "Chiqua Manillo crash"!

To be fair, I don't think GOG ever intended to fix every last bug in the game. Their mission was simply to present the game in a playable state for PC gamers. You can argue about whether this makes it the "definitive" version of the game as advertised, but it is vastly more stable than the European CD-ROM. That said, I think relatively minor issues like the Chiqua Manillo crash are beyond their scope to fix.
GOG is just following in Capcom's footsteps in abandoning Breath of Fire.

All jokes aside, if things like the Manillo shop crash and other issues were more frequently reported then that could potentially lead to patching the game being a higher priority.
