Anyone have any tips or something to explain to me how do teching (fishing reel combo mechanic)?

Like the tutorial makes it looks easy but in practice I just can't do it. I've tried the Tech 4 since it's just Triple tap, pause, double tap, pause, single tap...but 9/10 times it does nothing and the rare time I guess my timing is a micro second correct I pull it off.

But for the life of me I can't get it down often enough to make fishing go by fast. I've also heard that if you can't get teching down then fishing is going to be a huge pain in the future so this is really beating me down atm.

First, fishing is only necessary for bonus stuff, nothing essential or gamestopping.

Secondly, the trick with the fishing techs is that you need to time your inputs with the beats of the background music!

Inependent of which tech you are trying to apply, you need to do it in the rythm matching the one from the background music during the fishing mini game.

Overall, tech 4 is one of the most efficient ones, because it is a relatively easy combination (sequence) and high enough to attract almost every type of fish, as long as you use the appropriate fishing lure according to what fish you are aiming for.
Remember that some of the lures stay at or near the water surface, while others go really deep to the bottom.

I hope these hints help you getting accustomed to the fishing mini game mechanics.
