If your window size is 100%, it becomes impossible to solve the golden key puzzle, as the needed ball becomes uncontrollable and won't go where you need it. You must set size to 60%. It could depend on screen resolution as well. I am playing in 1280x1024.

I had trouble here as well, but if I used my touch pad instead of my mouse, it worked fine. Similar problem with other objects that react to the speed and direction of you pointer.

I was at 100% and solved it just fine.
window size 100% and no problem at all.
Thanks for pointing that out, I had the same problem. The red ball got stuck on the lower ground and after switching to 60% it worked again.
I experienced the bug but managed to complete the puzzle anyway by bouncing the amoeba-things off the red ball, I feel quite proud of my persistance now even if it did take an hour...!
Thanks for the hint. I was seconds away from deleting the game out of pure frustration. Red ball was stuck on the ground and I had no idea how to solve this puzzle. +rep
The people who solved it "just fine" should shut up and not post here. This is a thread for people who DO experience this horrible game-breaking bug.
Same problem?! :S

Here is the video (500kb, download)!

Why doesn't it jump into the funnel? :(

Edit: Yes, the window size is 60%!

Um...is that even a puzzle? I thought that was just a joke. The game doesn't require you to make them jump it.

Here is the walkthrough!

"Use your mouse to gently nudge the red creatures until one of them lands in the big trumpet"

None of the red creatures jump into the trumpet for me! :(

Seems to be the same problem though, with objects not responding to direction and speed of the cursor as they should.
I had problem with mouse at another spot in game, I was already using 60% screen size as I read it here, but my mouse pointer kept disappearing, thanks to LordCinnamon's advice I got past it using pen & touch :)
