1st off I'd just like to say how grateful I am to once again be able to play one of the games that defined my summers growing up. Much appreciation to what GOG.com is doing here.
With that said, I was wondering if anyone was able to figure out how to input mouse controls when playing? When I was remapping some of the inputs I noticed it wouldnt detect my mouse buttons at all. In most FPS games I usually use the right mouse button for jump or alt-fire & could not seem to figure it out here. I remember often setting up controls for these older buildengine FPS games in the dos-run setup.exe boxes...Has anyone been able to map actions to their mouse buttons/mouse wheel, etc?
Thnx in advance!
The mouse (the buttons at least, the mousewheel needs a bit more work and an external application) can be configured just fine. The configuration for the mouse is separated from the configuration for the keys - the easiest way, for me, is just to edit blood.cfg in a text editor and fiddle with the settings there.
If you'll look in these forums for something called bMouse, you'll get (in my humble opinion) a much better experience with the mouselook by using an external controller application. This will require some file editing, but it's so worth it.
Yep.
Mouse controls are seperate from keyboard controls.
Look under the 'Mouse' section.
Also, make sure you dont have anything double bound.
Blood doesnt auto-unbind for you, like new games do. You can have the same key/button bound to multiple actions(both mouse AND keyboard), which messes things up.
Thanks to both of you for the quick responses!
I didn't realize that setup.exe I mentioned in my orig. post is actually included in the download from GOG (I don't usually open things by using the start menu, but found it there in the Blood folder). I had been trying to remap keys using the in-game menu. The setup.exe helped me map out everything on the mouse for anyone else who might be wondering.
Thanks again.
Is there any way to bind the mouse scrolling for changing weapons?

You could try something like WheelKeys.
Edit: Ah, nevermind. Just got a chance to try it and it only sort of half works :/

I was wondering the same thing, but was just thankful to get any mouse button mapping at all. I know by default the 'next weapon' button is ' , ' but when I went into the setup.exe to map that to my wheel the only mouse inputs I saw were for the right, left & middle mouse buttons. So the original setup had no mapping for mice with more than those 3 buttons (which is a bummer because I use a 5 button mouse). I'm not even sure if there were mice with scrolling wheels when Blood came out.
If you want to make it so that moving your mouse up and down doesn't make your view tilt up and down (very disorienting in BUILD engine games), do this:
In the Setup program go to controller setup -> setup advanced control options -> advanced mouse setup -> mouse y axis scale. Move the slider to '0', hit ENTER and save and exit.
While in game, hit 'U' to turn mouse aiming on.

Should be the ; and ' keys by default.

Edit: And 1-0 keys, again by default.
