Redneck rampage has this same problem so apparently it's related to the build engine
but then this version doesn't use build, right? So what's up with that

Midi music does not seem to be working at all for me unless I start a new game while CD music does until you load a save. It's really broken.

How do you even switch between CD and MIDI? Is it by switching CD music off?
When I switch CD off I get no music at all. And CD music tends to stop at times.

There's a new version, 1.8.8-5, that is supposed to have fixed the music problems. They did for me btw.
