The steam version already has a beta version with bugs fixed playable, are we stuck with this broken version until the patch comes out of beta

According to a post from a developer on the Steam forum, yes. This has to do with Steam giving devs easier ways to distribute betas, which GOG seems to lack at the moment.

Well they fixed something, we've had 3 patches tonight if yo have GoG Galaxy checking for beta releases.
