This is how it is in my config

"[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.

@ECHO OFF
mount C "."
imgmount D game.inst -t iso
c:
cls
BMOUSE.EXE LAUNCH BLOOD.EXE -ini dw.ini
#dw
exit"

I did not alter it. My Path is F:\One Unit WHole Blood\ and that's what I entered for all necessary paths (I hope).

## UPDATE ##
Ok, I got it. I deleted the BMOUSE stuff and the "#dw" thing and now it works. That is weird. I will test noe if the cutscenes work.

That's how mine was originally, I just checked my untouched .zip for Death Wish. I'd say try removing the BMOUSE.EXE at the very least, because other than that I don't see a huge difference. Maybe the LAUNCH line as well, because so far as I can tell it's not with the regular Blood.conf.

I should note that I had changed all my paths as well and it still didn't work until I made this one adjustment.

EDT: Awesome, I'm glad it worked. :)

Happy Bloodletting.

Hi guys. I dont know whats wrong. I will describe my steps.

I install ONE UNIT WHOLE BLOOD on e:
Have path: E:\Program Files\GOG.com\One Unit Whole Blood

Then I unrar death wish and put files in this folder but not in E:\Program Files\GOG.com\One Unit Whole Blood\death wish.

Then I try to execute dw.bat and it starts, I see some information loading and suddenly window closes.
Have no idea whats wrong?!
I have windows XP SP3

Thanks in advance.

Don't extract to a sub directory, you need to have all the maps and the ini in the same directory as Blood.exe

Sorry
I have written my message in an ambiguous way.

I wanted to write that I DO NOT EXTRACT files to the subfolder.
I extract them directly to blood folder.
I run dw.bat and as I said I see some loading information and suddenly everything closes.

My fault, i didn't read as closely as I should have.
As you are on XP, are you running Blood natively, or are you running it through DOSBox?

I install gog one unit whole blood. Then I run via shortcuts on desktop.
BLOOD runs well. I encountered a problem with the cryptic passage but solved it in windows 7 running as administrator. And finally cant get through death wish.
There are shortcuts in blood folder but as I said. There is some information displayed about game confugiration and suddenly window closes.

New installer of OUWB contain global dosbox conf for all games and addons in dosboxBlood.conf and main game in
dosboxBlood_single.conf Cryptic is in dosboxBlood_addon.conf

Context for DW would look like that (rename 'ins to 'gog' for midi music but since author added redbook audio into movies I think it's intended to play this addon with soundtrack, not midi).

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.

@ECHO OFF
mount C ".."
c:
imgmount D game.ins -t iso
cls
blood.exe -ini dw.ini
exit

Bat file is wrong as so shortcut without editing.
Well Done difficulty is wrong at last level (only 2 + 1 beast instead four chosen)
As for dw.ini path for movies should be direct for example:

SourceDir=E:

[Episode1]
CutSceneA=dw1a.smk
CutWavA=dw1a.wav
CutSceneB=dw1b.smk
CutWavB=dw1b.wav

But if you want play Death Wish standalone consider making separate conf file for it instead of dosboxBlood_single.conf If you rename copy to something like dosboxBloodDW.conf then edit shortcut for this mod on desktop accordingly. My shortcut looks like this:

"D:\GOG Games\One Unit Whole Blood\DOSBOX\DOSBox.exe" -conf "D:\GOG Games\One Unit Whole Blood\dosboxBlood.conf" -conf "D:\GOG Games\One Unit Whole Blood\dosboxBloodDW.conf" -noconsole -c exit

I get this error message:

I had to use camera to record what was on the screen to catch this message.
The only thing I can do for now is just to watch deathwish gameplay on YT :(((

Well, you could try a few things
There are the build XP instructions.
http://buildxp.deathmask.net
RTCM has some additional options for getting sound to work with XP.
http://dukertcm.com/knowledge-base/documents-online/setup-windowsxp-sound.html

You could also try running Blood through FreeDOS on VirtualBox. I've had some success with this, but the screen size seems to be limited to 800x600
www.freedos.org
www.virtualbox.org

Unfortunately all are much more complicated solutions than what GoG has to offer.

If you had and old PC laying around you could try that as well.
The best add-on ever created for blood. In fact, it beats blood in many aspects.

I have an idea.
Could someone send me via email the files like :
gog shortcut
dw.ini
blood.ini
dosboxblooddw.conf

if someone could let me know and I will send my email via Private Message.
