Hey fellow odlschool gamers :)
I bought Blood II and it isn't starting. The launcher appears and when i click start game, nothing happens. The green "Play" button on the gog interface appears, so i know i will not start after waiting. Has anyone a solution for this problem? I loved it so much once ago, i would really appreciate it to play again.

edit: the display settings don't appear when i click them at the launcher

You should provide information about your system: hardware, OS, etc.

Supposing that you are running it on Windows 10, you may want to try setting it to run on compatibility mode for Windows XP.
Another solution could be using dgVoodoo2 as a wrapper. Follow this guide.

Thank you for your response. Both ways didn't work. I reinstalled and didn't change any of the display settings, didn't work. Maybe it has something to do with the GT Interactive Logo sequence? On my Laptop with old Geforce 740M it runs.
My Specs are:
Win 10 latest updates istalled
Geforce 1080 latest drivers installed
Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 Board
Ryzen 1600x
Xonar DX latest drivers installed
16GB Ram
installed on Samsung Evo 850 512 MB
did i forget something?

message when running in compatibility mode:
"no game resources specified"

First of all, if I understand correctly, you are launching Blood 2 from GOG Galaxy: well, refrain from it, considering that it doesn't work. Launching it directly may give you more error output.

Secondly, I suggested you to try following this guide, because it should give you a better game experience (higher and wide resolution): anyway I haven't warned you that this guide is for the Steam version of the game, and i hope you made the (few) correction needed to adapt it to the GOG version (mainly, the default path of the game).
Now, supposing that you followed the guide correctly, do you get any error when trying to run the game (outside Galaxy)?

Speaking of the intro logo, I know that you should be able to remove the intro sequence deleting the file named "Monolith.smk" in the installation folder, but I'm not sure this will remove the GT logo as well. It's worth trying I suppose.

I followed the instructions as adviced. It didn't help.
I deleted the monolith.smk file and it worked, game starts and doesn't crash but the intros of the levels cut off in the mid.
New Problem. The windows mousearrow is visible at the crosshair.
This game drives me insane. But my nostalgic emotions have to be satisfied.
I'm so ready for a surprise, Caleb.
Have to start it in windows compatibility mode.
