I just noticed a blue dot next to this game in my GOG library which usually means the game received some sort of update. Does anybody know what was updated?

I know the timer issue was finally resolved by the dedication of the community which I am super grateful for and a workaround for LAN play, also deeply appreciated but I was curious if the update might have finally resolved those issues as well? It would be nice to not have to keep a patched EXE file on hand for when I ever install this game in the future.

Apparently, no. The timer issue still is not officially fixed and no-one knows why the update appeared.
Likely it was just a "false positive" and not a real update.
