I see when I load the game that there's an option to load a film, rather than a game, but that folder is empty, and there seems to be no way to tell the computer to start recording a game as a film. I did RTFM, but I didn't understand what they were saying, since they only mentioned it once in passing. It SEEMED to say that only certain missions would be filmed, but if so I haven't gotten to one yet. What's this feature for and how do you use it?

I don't completely understand you sadly, but il try answer your question.
Under loading option in main menu you can load ether a saved game or a replay file, you can make replay files by saving them after a battle in multi-player. I don't think you can save replays of single-player missions unless you use a mod that enables it.
The general default save location for replays is:

\Blitzkrieg Anthology\Blitzkrieg\Run\replays

Replays are basically files that hold records of the movements and events form the game rather than being a video recording. This is why replay files for games are only kilobytes to a few megabytes, and thus can only be viewable in the game itself.
To record a replay as a video/film you must capture the footage of the replay using some recording software.

If you wish to view the in game cut scenes on the other hand (like seen during the intro of starting a campaign for example.), you can easily view them in MediaPlayerClassic-HomeCinema. (Or any other media player that supports .bik format.)

The location for all the video files are here:
\Blitzkrieg Anthology\Blitzkrieg\Run\data\movies

Hope this is to any help.

I think that is the answer to my question, yes. So, just to clarify: the only way I could record a replay of a single-player mission would be to download or create a mod that would allow me to do so? That's very annoying. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an option I was failing to find. Thanks for the reply.
