Are you running it through the bstone.exe?
It needs to be run through this, not the original exe or original shortcut (you can make your own shortcut of course)

Oh, you need to extract the zip file to the main game directory.

If you don't now how, it is very easy to google it.

Basically you could download programs like 7zip, WinRar or WinZip to do that, but Windows are able to do it as well.
Ie. in Win 7 you should be able to double-click the file as any other, it will open itself as folder (and will contain several files including bstone.exe) but on the upper bar, there is "Extract all files" button. You click it, navigate it to the Blake Stone directory (or extract it to place you want or the one it suggest to you and then copy it to game directory) and let it extract.
Then you can run it through it.

Hope it helps.

Here is an easy youtube tutorial how to extract files on Win 7.

Are you using Windows or some other OS?
I am not sure if bstone supports Linux and Mac and can't you help with those at all. If you are not using Win then you'd be better off asking author of the bstone.

If you have Win have you downloaded the file "bstone_bin_win32_v1_1_7.zip" (or 64 instead of 32 if you have 64-bit OS but that's not so important)?
If you did it should contain 4 files:
bstone.exe
bstone_license.txt
bstone_readme.txt
bstone_sdl2_license.txt

Bstone.exe is the only one you should really need (but the other ones doesn't hurt anything) and it is hard to miss.
This you need to extract to game file and you should be set to go.
