Hi guys, will this version run on ScummVM for Android? I think there is no reason why it shouldn't run, but I'd like to be sure before I buy.

Currently, you 'd need to have a development build of the ScummVM android app (v2.1 or higher, a recent daily is recommended) on your device.

Keep in mind that there were issues reported with the ScummVM v2.1 Android app that made the team withdraw the initial release from the Play Store, in order to work on those issues (and more!). These issues are slowly but steadily being fixed (I'm one of the people working on that).

So, my recommendation would be to wait, if you are willing to, for a stable 2.1+ version of the app to appear on the Play Store.
Ok, I will wait then, instead of playing BD I better should to finish some previously bought games :) Thank you for your recommendations and for the work on ScummVM for Android.

Hi there, I tried to install the latest dev build of ScummVM on my S9, but it cannot seem to access my phone's internal memory so I cannot point to the game files. Any idea what I should do? I read something about editing an .ini file but I can't find one for the dev build (but weirdly found it to the ScummVM RetroArch core).

- What is the Android OS version on your S9?
- What do you see when clicking on the "Add Game..." button? Can you navigate at all in the file system from there or is it an empty screen?

Since this is a topic that concerns the android port of ScummVM I'd also suggest that it's better to report your exact issue, with any details you can gather (Android OS version) on the ScummVM bug tracker (you'd need to have or create a Github
account for this).

Thanks for the quick response!

- What is the Android OS version on your S9?

It's an S9+ running Android OS 9, with Android security patch level "1 December 2019".

- What do you see when clicking on the "Add Game..." button?

It's completely empty, and when navigating "up", it's still empty.

When first opening the app I see there's an error before I have a chance to grant access, but closing and reopening the app after granting permission still does not let me navigate to my files (see attached images).

EDIT: Opened a ticket https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/11313

Thank you for opening a ticket. It will be better to track it that way.

Could you try to simply type "/" and press Enter in the "Add Game..." screen, in the address text box?
Does that change anything? It does for me in an Android OS 9 device.

OMG that worked! Thanks so much, I'll update the ticket with that info as well :)

That's great.
I wrote the suggestion on the ticket, as well :)

I have started working on a more permanent fix for the issue, including fixing the initial crash but have to get the time to finish it.
