Greatest game ever imho, reason |I bought a pc back in the day and played it dozens of times and got all possible endings. Know this game by heart and am grateful it is finally available again, thanks for your great work.

Love the extra content, the speeding up of the Shooting Range -which was notoriously slow- having extra conversation and even extra meetings with Rachel.

This time around I thought I would run it down the middle, not being a sympathizer of a killer. I wanted to save all replicants and everyone till the very end and then be in the Moonbus having the option to join them or gunning them down, without Crystal interfering.

Saving Ruben no problem, same with Izo and Taffy and even Early and Dektora. Lucy seems impossible to safe, stuck in the maze and cannot reach her in time before Crystal offs her. "What a waste!"

Does anyone have any ideas how to achieve this ending if it is at all possible? I know I can withhold leads and info from the police, but Lucy freaks out to warn the cops when I warn her for Crystal. Even when she runs away I come back later with Crystal and Lucy is there again even though i warned. Crystal shoots her everytime and option.

Help would be appreciated and if you need help in tips and endings from an old dutch Blade Runner addict lemmeknow.

First, I suggest playing the game with the latest ScummVM build (the stable one, or a developer one if possible) as they include more bug fixes and sometimes those will also improve the AI behavior.

Catching up to Lucy in the maze should be easy enough, in my experience.
-- McCoy can run faster and faster if you keep clicking the mouse
-- The layout of the maze switches between two states. Typically it will change when Lucy is at the bottom middle area, and once when she is at about top right near the exit corridors. When the layout of the maze shifts, McCoy will have to adjust his path towards the exit, so you need to click again at a spot near the exit. He will probably retrace some of his steps as a result to this.
-- If you just keep clicking with the mouse at a spot at the corridors near the exit, where Lucy is bound to pass by, McCoy will deal with finding a path there on his own (again he may retrace his steps a bit).
-- Do this especially after the maze layout shifts when Lucy is at the bottom middle area. If McCoy is fast enough (keep clicking the mouse) he won't be affected at all when the next maze layout change happens.
-- The best spot to meet up with and intercept her (and be able to click on her) is at the open space of the corridor parallel to the exit corridor. (In my video below it is where I retire her).
-- When she is near just click on her (gun withdrawn of course). As far as I know, you can save near that point, and reload to attempt again, if clicking on her proves difficult.

You can have a look at my video (chase starts at about the 14:35 mark -- in my video I retire Lucy):

thanks a million, worked perfectly. Never had to do the maze before to chase Lucy in all my previous games. So I saved Lucy. However when I continue, I get the Guzza folder and exchange. So I do not kill him and have been saving reps all along. Clovis agrees to Sadik with killing me and I escape and I return home, meet Bryant who tells me to turn myself in and at home I get no dog and the call from Crystal and only the endings with my dog blowing up and having to kill Sadik and partnering with Steel and only Clovis dying in the moonbus. Frustrating because I Saved all reps and thus sympatized with them
I don't get it why Sadik and Clovis want to kill me and why all the reps I saved are gone. Anyway to get to the ending with all reps alive together in the moonbus still?

-- Shooting Guzza yourself before Sadik does, would help a lot to align more with the Replicants,
-- Other stuff that could possibly help (but I am unsure) are:
---- Not getting the briefcase that Guzza brings in the underground meeting, and thus not bringing that to the police to exonerate yourself.
---- Since Lucy is a Replicant in your playthrough, meeting up with her in Act 4 (underground location next to Izo's basement, below Bullet Bob's).
---- Shooting and killing cops during Act 4. (I don't think this is really necessary though).

If those do not help, and you are playing with the latest ScummVM build (I would suggest the 2.3.0git development build to make sure), then please consider sharing a save game so that I'd be able to look further into it.
Thanks for your swift replies, brilliant and much appreciated. yes I know, killing Guzza myself changes the game and puts me inline with the reps. I was however trying to NOT kill anyone this time around. Seems almost impossible. And killing Guzza gets me in a tight spot as well. Clovis tells me to meet them at the Moonbus put the path remains blocked.
I'll try your other suggestions. I am playing the Gog-version Restored Content. I guess I should install Scumm fully and have more options?

The road being blocked is not something I remember as a known issue, but it does sound like a bug. This is in Act 5, after you went back to McCoy's apartment and got the call, correct? I will have to look into your save file for this. It could be something we missed, as the restored content version is still WIP and is not as much tested as the vanilla one.

If you are currently running Blade Runner from the GOG shortcuts then installing a separate version of ScummVM will require to add the game again and will probably also need to set the save game directory and rename the save files in order to continue from your existing ones.

You could however install ScummVM on top of the scummvm folder of the GOG Blade Runner game directory and keep using the GOG shortcuts to launch the game, and there will be no need to rename the save files or set the save games folder anew.

I know that in the most recent development versions we fixed some bugs for the Restored Content mode and restored a few extra stuff as well (not as much as I would like, there's still quite a lot more to be restored).

Thanks again, will try. I LOVE seeing all the new options, conversations, animations, got the fish, the slug, saw Rachel many more times. Funny however how |I missed several items during my 20+ years of playing, such as the shell casings, the guzza briefcase -thanks, impossible to spot (made no difference though, Sadik and Clovis keep tryin to kill McCoy and same endings and no option to meet Lucy anywhere again.) !. First time ever I VK-ed Ruciter too.

If ever a dutch translation might be needed, let me know, can make/provide, have done so often for other media such as comics. Well-versed in dutch -native of course- , german, english, french. One of the small benefits of attending grammarschool a very long time ago -though I guess no-one will be wanting a latin or ancient greek version anytime soon LOL.
I'd imagine though, that the dutch fanbase for the Blade Runner game is rather limited, prob a few thousand.

Correct about the blocked passage to the Kipple.
I will probably install Scumm anyway, marvelous work! I have been a huge fan of PC games for almost 30 years and still have many old ones I played numerous times, back in the day or later with dosbox or fixed exe.
It has been a constant frustration not being able to play these old gems for so many years on newer OS. The backwards compatibility has been an issue for soooo long so I am thrilled to see your inititiative. I just quite recently joined Steam and esp GOG and only learned of Scumm through Blade Runner.

If I want to replay Blade Runner -and others- with as many (new) options as possible, I presume it's wisest to fully install Scumm anyways?

Thanks for the kind words. It's the results of the dedicated work of a team of essentially four people for a long time, so it's always good to read that people are enjoying re-playing the game on new devices and discovering new stuff.

I do have a side project to expand and improve the current subtitles system, to support languages other than the basic English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (EFIGS). As far as I know, out of the EFIGS we still missing German and Italian fan made transcripts/translations, but those, if provided, would be supported by the existing subtitles system. My goal is to allow support for other languages (Chinese, Polish, Modern Greek, Hebrew) and on-the-fly selection of the text language from the in-game KIA. There's been some work done towards that, but still a lot to be done.

Dutch subtitles would fall under this second group of languages.

I find it more practical to have a common full ScummVM installation of the latest version (or for my purposes, a latest development build) but it's up to you to create a set up that you find convenient.

So, back to the game issue, did it work? Did you get the Replicants on the moonbus?
no way. I installed ScummVM and Blade Runner again and started anew for now. McCoy a rep -scorpion doen't kill him, dog barks at him, moonbus pic, etc.. In the end exon by police but Steel killed dog and options between Lucy car ending and Moonbus ending with only Clovis Sadik and Zuben, others all died. I killed no=one, except Steel in both options.
Wiil try to get the old saves working though. I love how the outcome and premises are always different. Forgot to get to Tyrell and Rachel however, exactly as my first-ever play-through. If you miss a certain timeframe and do something else first, it's gone...
