freeqer: When I go to Zuben he don't run away.
I collected everything in pet store except disc with pictures, so I don't have esper.
When I go to Zuben and ask him McCoy only say: "stick around" and nothing happen.
I even found some post from 1997 where some guy have similar issue but there was no solution.
Did I miss something. Or it is a bug and I need to play for the beginning?
Is this on the enhanced version or the original (ScummVM powered) version?
I'm asking because in the ScummVM Blade Runner engine we tried to make sure that you can still get Zuben to attack and run even if you miss some of the clues (the game already had some backup plans, we just enhanced 1-2 extra cases a bit).
So, if on the original version, McCoy says "stick around" to Zuben here's a few things you could try:
1. Go back to the first area, outside Runciter's shop, and check the door (should be some clue about a forced entry).
2. Go to the mainframe on the Police HQ, download the clues from the server and check if you got any new ones. Sometimes, after a while, someone else may upload relevant clues that McCoy has missed on the crime scene.
3. Visit Dino at the police lab at talk to him until you've exhausted all options.
4. Of course on China town, talk to Howie Lee and exhauste all options (especially asking him about the chef/Zuben).
If these fail, *and you're on the ScummVM powered version* please upload a relevant saved game and I will check to see if it's a bug we should fix, or advise on what to do next.
PS. You can finish the game without getting the disc from Runciter at all, but McCoy will need other clues and his questioning will be slightly different.
