I tried both the audio direct 7 option and vertical sync thing and mouse is still incredibly laggy :/ While using D3d solves the mouse problems it doesn't highlight things in main menu which is even worse. So, is there any other solution for mouse jumping, lag?

Forcing Vsync seems to have solved the problem for myself as well. For ATI users, it's the option labeled "Wait for vertical refresh" under the 3D Application settings tab of the Catalyst Control Center.

stardust_79: I solve the mouse problems with my Nvidia control pannel. i forced the Vertical sync and since then, no more issues.

Step by step: open Nvidia panel conntrols, then go to "add a new programm", select the game application (located by default at C:/Gog Games/ Blade of Darness/ Bin) and turn on the vertical synchronisation. Done.
Worked for me!
