So most of the times where I finish a level The loading stops short of finishing.
First it loads to the map that you select where you wanna go next. It stops
loading just short of finishing, but i hear the voice of the man speaking, explaining what has happened on the level I have just finished.
I try to alt/tab but the mouse does not respond so I have to log off and log in again.
Now if I am lucky i get to select a level and its starts to load...and again just short of finishing it crashes again. I`ve tried to change the compatibility but to no avail. If I restart the game enough times It sometimes lets me get to next level and once I save the game in the new level I get no probs loading untill I get to a new level.. Its a little annoying and hoping gog could fix this

Is there a solution for this? I've also tried different compatibilitys but nothing seems to work.
I have this problem too so here is a work around based on the fact that I find level transitions work ok in direct3d mode.

Save just before ending a level.
Restart the game in d3d mode (using the Setup in the launcher).
Load the last save.*
End the level.
Start the next level.
Save the game.**
Restart the game in the normal graphics mode, ie use Setup again to revert to the mode you usually use.

navigating the menus is hard in d3d mode:

*Press Enter, Down, Enter to reach the saved games screen. By default you will have the latest save selected. Press Enter, Up, Enter and this will load your save

** press Esc, Enter, Enter. You should now be on the save game screen and by default a new slot is selected so press Enter to save.
