I started playing this a bit, and I like it, but I sure wish I could strafe (with A and D in my WASD control setup).

Is there any way to add strafing? It's my one big complaint.

You can only strafe when you lock on targets for combat. It's meant to be this way.
Agree with the OP, locking onto target seems out of place in this game and isn't very useful against multiple opponents.
Still you can dodge to the left or right if I remember correctly (double tapping A or D).
Yes, I see how dodging works. That's fine, really. Locking on targets and no strafing are just pointless restrictions on the interface between the player and the character. Locking targets I can live with, but not being able to strafe...I'm not so sure. I don't know whether I want to play a whole game through when I can't make the character do a simple thing I want him to do.

Anyway, if anyone knows a way to implement strafing with A and D, please share.
Use A and D coupled with right mouse click. You jump sideways to dodge. Even better than strafe. Works out of combat, too.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

Don't mention it. Also, some characters like the knight, have an early combo move built for this: a or d, right click (to jump sideways), then left click (to attack with an animation like a farmer scything grass). But it needs you to be level 2, and not all characters have it.

Great. I started with Conan the Barbarian and his big sword.

Barb is a real BEAST! Great go. Just take care, he is too slow while swinging, and you should begin combos NOT when enemy is near you, but from a small, correct, healthy, precisely calculated, distance.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: ...distance.
Yeah, I figured that out the hard way!
