Does the game work right now? I tested 3 different versions on Steam.

There's a bug in the stable version of the game. That bug gave me horrible first impressions. It adds a 750-1000 millisecond delay when you jump/dodge.

The rollback version worked and showed me just how good the combat is, and to think this was out in 2001 just blows my mind. However the camera is broken or isn't done in the rollback version, it's tied to player movement, meaning it was designed for a controller with only one analog stick and not designed for a mouse at all. Back in 2001, yea that's expected.

What about the beta version? Same issue as the beta version. Somehow the developer made the camera system modern in the stable build but broke the combat. Then probably couldn't find a way around the input lag and reverted that entire change to show what's now in beta.

Sadly. Finding this out also spoiled a large part of the game and my experience with it for me. I wish it just worked.


How can we get the game working for those that want to play it. I heard this game is the root of Dark Souls combat, but the game just doesn't work.
