I got the spear from one alter where the two arrow traps shoot out arrows as soon as u approach it.

When I opened the temple door after killing two zombies with battle axes, the game suddenly crashes. This happens everytime.

Any idea how to get pass through this?

I ran as XP 2 and also as an admin. Doesn't work.

I have same problem :(
Hey I found a solution to this.

It's simple. When you open the door, go into it backwards.

Don't just run in. look behind and backtrack all the way up to the stairs. Then the freezing never occurs :)
Are you playing on OpenGL setting?
Try changing it to Direct3D or nGlide, walk through the door, save and switch back to OpenGL (if you want ofc). It should be fine.

Hope it helped :)
It works!

Thanks for info :)
I had this same problem today.
Graphics work fine and I didn't think it was graphics related.

The game didn't crash when I used the key... I used it and door opened.
but when I walked through the door... then the game crashes.

But I got around this, I noticed that when walking through the door the character was looking at the lock and his head turning... it really looked like game crashes because of this.... so I tried walking backwards at the door and then jumping backwards through the door.

AND IT WORKED... now game runs fine, all other doors in other levels work fine, it feels like it's just this one.

This is how I fixed it, please tell me if it helps anyone and if you have the same problem :)
Walking to this door backwards helped to prevent crash.

What I have more often is character freezing in ingame scenes, like, it stays in one place, looks around but does not do what it has to do, like going to some altar or making some other scripted action. No keyboard buttons function at that moment. Sometimes it helped to wait a few minutes but more robust solution was the same as aMoosingOne proposed - switch to Direct3D or nGlide. Switching to D3D messed main menu but solved freezing problem.
Thanks! Walking backwards worked for me, too (playing on OpenGL). I didn't even need to walk backwards through the next room, it sufficed to cross the threshold.
walking backwards worked for me too!!!
thanks guys!!
this game may have some bugs, but i am in love with it hahaha
It worked for me too. =)
