Hello everyone,

I am thinking about buying Blackwell series, but according to comment form user "unacomn" there should be a fifth game. Is it true?
Why release a bundle edition when the game series is not complete anyway?

Pleads, do not spoil the story for me (that´s something I´d like to play through myself ;) ), just kindly tell me if it is concluded or not.

Thanks.
There are only 4 games so far...

There was a Blackwell bundle available, but it contained only the first 3.
The 4th, Deception, was released in Oct.2011.

So, to make it clear, there is no 5th game released or announced...yet.
So, does it mean story is not concluded yet?

Hi - game developer here. To answer your question, yes and no. I made sure each Blackwell game had a stand-alone story, so you'll never be greeted with a "To Be Continued" at the end of a game. But at the same time, there is an overarching storyline that is being told with each installment. To put it simply, each game has a ghost/case that the characters need to solve and they each get resolved at the end. But the Big Story of who Rosa is and the world she inhabits is slowly evolving over the course of the series. So... make of that what you will.

edit: Oh, and yes there will be a fifth and sixth game. Working on the fifth right now, in fact!

Dave, that's great to hear...I LOVE your series.
Perhaps a little off-topic, but what's up with the extra L in the username?

On a different note, a sixth? You haven't even shown anything about the fifth game and you're already planning the sixth? I don't know if it's madness or just plain awesome (most likely the latter, seeing as I myself am planning ahead a lot of times, especially with my novel trilo-aw crap, I should be writing my novel).
I am so happy to see the Blackwell games on GoG I couldn't resist picking them up again in this awesome bundle!

Any chances of us getting Emerald City Confidential on GoG also?

Thanks for making awesome games!

My guess is that's a middle name. Lawrence, maybe?

Doubtful, as it would need to be discussed with PlayFirst. Seeing as they have their own site, I doubt they'd let GOG release it as well.
Just bought this bundle and downloading it at the moment. I'm glad the stories conclude. I was in dire need of another adventure game to play with my girlfriend and this looked interesting and promising.

Thanks for answer, davelgil. I like the way you outline the story, it reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, one of my favorite anime series. Even though the story is not concluded yet, I will buy your games ;)

Oh, and looking forward to see Gemini Rue here, definitely gonna buy that one :)

Ahh, thanks. You're probably right.
Wadjet Eye has many other great titles, like Gemini Rue, but Emerald City Confidential always seemed to be the odd one out since you had to go through PlayFirst/BigFish to play it. (which I did, and the game and art is fantastic.)
Just wish we could get it wrapped in GoG love instead of wrapped in PlayFirst DRM, down-loaders and activators.
Anyway, looking forward to Resonance!
Hello there!

Blackwell will definitely have a fifth installment. If you follow Dave Gilbert, the producer, on Twitter, you may have noticed hints. I also directly asked him for more Blackwell and he replied saying he's working on it.

In interviews, Dave has stated that the series may end with a sixth and final game.
Look out for the fifth installment!
As long as Abe will continue to voice Joey, I'm game.
Blackwell 5 is definitely happening, you can be sure of it. here's one tweet hinting at it.

Not this year, though, I reckon. We've got Resonance coming along and the next Wadjet game after that is called Primordia. Blackwell 5 will most likely be a late 2013 thing, if not early '14.
