JudasIscariot: We've only received Support tickets regarding the English version. As for the new installer, if the game works for you in German as intended then you don't need to download anything :)

MBiL_248: Again, thanks for your quick reply. I don't know "if the game works for me in German as intended" because I didn't play it so far, I've enjoyed only the DRM-free installation until now. ;) (Always a good feeling, please continue to bring good old and new Games in German without DRM. :) )
Jawohl :)

Charon121: Thanks, that should help everyone enjoy the game. Does the updated version add anything other than the sound fix? I don't want to download it as the game works fine for me now, but I will if it has some added value.
Just the sound fix :)

At least some bad versions of the game are still being distributed as recently as yesterday, the 12th. I downloaded and installed the game yesterday AM, and experienced the sound and crashing issue. I did log a support request, but have not heard back yet.

However, after reading this thread, I installed Galaxy, and the version of the game distributed through Gakaxy works fine. I was hesitant to install Galaxy earlier, since it is still in Beta phase.

It is disappointing, though, that at least some bad versions of the game are still being distributed, to people that don't use Galaxy, and this issue still needs to be addressed by the gog.com team.

Which bad versions are you referring to? Both the offline installer and the Galaxy-compatible version were updated at the same time.
The series of events for this issue is basically this::

-Steam released the game, had broken sound issues.
-Gog then released the game, sound issues fixed.
-Gog version got de-listed for sale.
-Steam version finally gets fixed after months of being broken.
-Gog version comes back on sale but with the old broken version.
-Gog version is now fixed.

Needless to say these series of events are BS and terrible.
