I have tried everything and talked to everyone, I even checked a walkthrough but I can´t get any further. Why can´t I get into the church?

i have the same problem. Black Mirror 2017, Ch. 2. Turned the family photograph over, went through the painting to the church, then stuck. Can't go forward, can't go back, and the 'A' button just loads a fraction, bounces, then nothing. What am I missing?
