Just a heads up: the achievements in Bioshock are a bit wonky at times. In the past few days, I glitched on the "Fully researched spider slicer" achievement (fixed by restarting and then reloading from a previous save; a single research photograph was enough to trigger the achievement) and right now I am going to try the same thing with the jackpot achievement (failed to trigger, despite two jackpots).
They don't work for me - at all! Doesn't matter if I start a new game, or load one of my game saves from the cloud (which were made on Steam) the achievements just aren't unlocking. I wanted to play through the game again to unlock the achievements on GOG but at this rate that will never happen.

Damn. For a while I thought that was happening to me when I was running MSI Afterburner. None of the achievement notifications popped up... but the achievements were mostly still recognized. Guess the software was interfering with Galaxy's overlay.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot ... turns out that my killing of the plastic surgeon hadn't registered as an achievement. So that's 3 I've had to redo by loading an older save.
Just now I failed to unlock the

Achievement. I really don't want to replay the entire game for that single achievement, but have already saved past that point. Might see if there is a recent autosave I can load up. Also, GOG really needs spoiler tags. :P
