Can you check this:


Citrix causes all sorts of errors on Unity based games. You could try upgrade to version 1911+, however you might need to uninstall it for this gaming windows profile.

I'm not using Citrix.

The best thing to do is to send you the log report in any case.
I'm not using Cittrix either. Launched okay the first time, but now I keep getting a black screen when the menu should appear.

I mailed ya - check AVAST isn't blocking the exe.

Can you post the crash report? It is in the game folder.
I can't find the crash report anywhere, but I never recieved a crash message in the first place.

I installed the game on another brand new computer, and the black screen after the intro persists.

There are no log files to be found with GOG Galaxy it seems ... even hidden files.

@zazak09 I had the same problem ou had, game would just launch a black screen, sometimes a box would appear asking me to send the report to developpers ... It seems videos wouldn't launch and crash the game. I skipped Galaxy's launching menu and went to the games folder to launch the .exe in administrator mode and it"s been working perfectly thereafter, videos launching, language selection and so on ...

Try this:


Get K-Lite Codec Pack Basic:

Install, then restart.
Installing that program didn't work for me, and neither did launching the .exe as an administrator. Unfortunately I've had to request a refund, but if you ever resolve the issue I will purchase it again.

I am a non-Galaxy user. Just for your information, I've been playing it and it works fine. I've played 3 sessions now where I've launched it and restored from a save twice.

Thanks for the info.

We did do a massive 500 player beta test and 200 people actively played it across many systems so it should be pretty stable.

Same over here, only get a black screen.
Looks to me its video related and if it works on other clients then you guys should look into it together with Gog.

Too bad, was planning to play the game today.

Hope you guys take this seriously and try to resolve it asap cause its clear this is not a one man issue.
