quill18 just put a video up about this on youtube. Never used mods on my gog games. How does it work here? Are there a sort of workshop for easy install/download like in Steam or what?

Grab mods from a mod site (one example is Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/ - there are others, Google is your friend).

Most mods tend to explain how to install them, and the site may have further (general) modding info on the game. I believe there are some third-party mod-loaders etc. that you can use for Battletech - again, either the site or the mod's info page should let you know how to install them.
Ok, thanx.
"Roguetech mod to Battletech"

Sneaking, picking pockets, and backstabbing?
cant get the instructions, "unpack in the battletech/mod folder"? where, in gog or where?

RogueTech requires to other pieces of software. BTML and ModTek. Here is a link to the instructions for installing them. https://github.com/Mpstark/ModTek/wiki/The-Drop-Dead-Simple-Guide-to-Installing-BTML-&-ModTek-&-ModTek-mods

After you have BTML and ModTek installed, you will have a Mods folder off the BATTLETECH main directory.

Installing RogueTech to this folder installs the mod when you next launch BattleTech.

Working fine now, thanks !
Update: Roguetech now has a setup that will perform all these steps automatically :-)
Just finished my 2nd playthrough of the game. Installed RougeTech and am starting a new campaign which will be 100% Sandbox mode.

Hoping the beta that was just announced doesn't mess me up when it leaves beta...
Haven't had much time to play the RoughTech mod.

Two missions in on the Sandbox campaign, I'm down from 2.5 million to 2 million C-Bills. Also lost a Mech and a Pilot. Hmm, this isn't as easy as the campaign. To put it mildly. Maybe I should read some guides to figure out how best to use these new things I'm carrying around. :)

Or maybe, my fool pilots with 70-80% chances to step on a MG Array carrying APC should actually step on said APC with four attempts. Odds of failure were <1%, so I guess that's a pilot that deserves to die...

Ya tried it. Wasn't fun for me to have said pilots miss the broad side of a barn. Reverted back to standard.
