So, I bought the game back when it was on sale for $20, and looked up a couple mods I want to install. However the instructions don't seem to work for the GoG version.

Could anybody tell me the procedure to take the Mercenary Collection with all 3 DLC and no mods and get these three (or any one of them) working?

The Firing Line Improvements is what I really want, as I'm sick of mistaking indirect fire for direct line of sight because it is too subtle a difference in the vanilla game with my fading eyesight.
There is also this version of the same mod, but I can't get either to work.

Could somebody please give step-by-step instructions since the file in
C:\GOG Games\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\mods\HBS
doesn't work, nor do the instructions on Nexus.
