Will there be a non-Steam Linux version on GOG? The developer's site still has a Tux badge on their games page.

The answer to this question directly affects whether I buy the game here, or from someone else, especially after the MoO mess a couple of years ago.
Linux version isn't being released for another 7-8 months. So no reason to buy it till it is actually released for Linux.
Also all there other games that have a linux version have been relased as linux versions on GoG as well.
This game looks sick so I came here to ask the same question. I guess this might be good this game is delayed on Linux. It will give me time to play Pillars of Eternity 2.
I'm now looking into this again due to the sale.
Seems like they are still working on the Linux version.
Since we've had our share of games with Linux versions only on steam without technical reason I wonder whether anyone knows for sure that the Linux version will be available on GOG.
I'm also excited to own it for Linux!
I see the linux version life, with the Flashpoint DLC available as well. The only issue is that the files say 1.21 instead of 1.3, not sure if it's a real or a filename issue, but it's there!

Here is what has been posted on their KS project page:
Linux Beta update: The Linux Beta along with fixes and updates has been integrated with the main game version and is available on Steam, GOG, and Humble!

Linux known issues:
--The game must have write access to the installation directory. If you get infinite loading screens on launch or when starting a new game make sure the directory is writable: sudo chmod -R 777 BattleTech_Data
--Non-English Linux systems may experience infinite loading screens. Please opt-in to the Localized Beta (below) or use the launch option work-around: LC_ALL=C
So, in other words, HBS are a bunch of morons^W^W^W^W^W did not bother to actually shape up Linux version.
It has been how long? Yet, HBS are still incapable of making a decent Linux version. We've been fed a beta.

Needless to say, their "Flashpoint" is not compatible with outdated experimental beta branch and has no Linux support. ;)

it says version 1.3 on the game menu, so it might just be a filename issue.
Awesome! Also some config files says 1.21, but still, everything seems to be 1.3 in reality :)
I bought this game when it went on sale last time in anticipation of a near-term Linux release, so I was happy to see this. Until I tried it, that is. I don't think this game's campaign mode is working for me. I seem to be stuck in a tutorial phase (Click portrait or press tab to select unit). I can't get the tutorial window to dismiss (just slide to the side), and I can't do anything else, either. The turn indicator in the upper left is flashing between neutral and enemy, and the only thing I can do is exit from the campaign. The other two modes seem to work as expected, probably because there's no tutorial. No documentation whatsoever, pretty much what I expect from modern games. Not even the cheat sheet they provided for the Shadowrun games. Just a broken tutorial that can apparently only be skipped by also skipping all the intro missions. Yes, I know that third parties have somewhat picked up the slack. Still doesn't excuse that kind of behavior, though.

Edit: still broken with 1.3.1.

Edit: never mind. It was my own fault for using my game wrapper in a way it wasn't designed for. While it appeared to be doing my usual unionfs partial writing mount, it wasn't. Writing a proper wrapper script fixed this problem for me, I think.
