BF2 comes with EAC which doesn't allow you to use cheats even in single player. Is there a way to disable it for the gog version for single player?

Use -NoEAC (there is also an addittional executalbe named Armada 2 NoEAC in Galaxy).

For me, when trying to run with EAC, I get an error saying that Windows Explorer is causing validation error :D
My problem is that occasionally EAC hangs up while starting the game and at this point even if you kill the game and EAC process you would get an error while trying to start the game so you have to entirely reboot your PC. Since I am not interested in the multiplayer in any shape of form for this game is there an easy way to make it primary executable?

Manage Instalation -> configure -> check default executable.

And voila :)
Unwilling to purchase the game on GOG when there is no evidence that cheathappens trainers work on the gog version yet. If anyone can actually show it works id be thankful. I dont wish to waste 30 euro on a second version of a broken(for me) game

It works without problems, same as CE table by Recifense (which is in my opinion much better). Of course as long as you play the game with EAC disabled (which is requirement for modding also).
Even disabled a trainer cannot attack the the new EXE which is designed to reject 3rd party programs like a cheat happens trainer, i can confirm i freshly downloaded the latest steam version of gothic, got the latest trainer, and it failed to latch onto the EXE, ever since the EXE was rebuilt. and that was with -NOEAC added and in the main menu it shows that EAC is in fact disabled, but cheats still wont work.

Oh and the table by Recifense appears to be so far out of date it no longer works as the forum for it is full of requests and reports, so it looks abandoned as of last year.

I've just checked BFGA2 on Steam and GOG, and both the CH trainer and CE table works fine on either of those platforms.
If you can't see a process on the list, than you are doing something wrong and EAC is not disabled. In this case you are issuing a wrong command, -NoEAC command is case sensitive. Use correct command or just check in Galaxy the executable with that command as default. Or you cas use a custom loader that runs the game without EAC entirely.
AOB tables usually don't have to be updated as frequently as those using static pointers. They determine base addresses searching for specific patterns in memory. And unless some major changes to the game code are done, they will be working fine. Thats why this table is still working.
Or you can just edit save games to help you on the way. You can find some examples what and how can be edited, that I've posted on CH forum for that title, or search Steam forum as someone reposted them there.
Really? Hmm....ok ill go back and try again with the trainer, As thats my preferred, but id use the table if i had too without complaint. Thank you for checking as well. Fingers crossed it means i can play it like i used too.
Tried there now.

Failed Attaching to process (ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED) which means the game is very likely protected by anticheat software. Please check out the trainer notes to see if there are any special instructions,

So same as when i first tried, sure your game is up to date?

I also used -NoEAC exactly as you said, copied and pasted, no luck, and in the top right it says eac is disabled. but the EXE was changed as i reported. so it still fails to work

Tried to use CE, and it couldnt connect to the exe like the trainer. So that failed also. And be advised, i have alot of experience with computers, im not a novice. So its not a simple error like a space somewhere or a miss spell or putting the command line in the wrong place, iv tried using a shortcut and adding -NoEAC to it, wont run, added it to the steam command line section perfectly, game runs with no eac, but trainer cant attack to the exe at all, eac or no eac

Edit:

Yea i finally managed to secure a custom exe without anticheat installed at the code level into it. And the trainer attaches perfectly to that. So im back playing it, but yea, cheats dont work with the built in exe anymore, that day is done, custom exe or nothing im afraid. Thanks for the assistance i will say, i had given up but you did prompt me to look longer for a custom exe and i eventually found it. So in a way you did fix the problem xD

Strange. I've tried it on fresh Steam install and it worked perfectly. Same for GOG 1.0.13 after repair so it used latest files.
It could be, that you ran CH/CE without elevated priviliges (just a thought).

EAC is a real pain in the ***, no to mention I doubt it does not violate GDPR (they are gathering personal data without even notifying about that).

Oh i can well believe it with the way an EXE needs to be rebuilt to fully incorporate it and not a separate program. Or its both, i dont know.

As for privileges i run the trainer/game as admin, neither had any effect and the trainer showed the exact same error as stated above, so i honestly have no clue why it worked for you and not for me. But just finished and enjoyed the imperial campaign there now so im happy i can play easily one of my top 10 games again.
Sorry to necro this thread, but I put in the -NoEAC comment in the shortcut and I still get the Easy Anti Cheat popup while loading, but now the main menu says, "Stormancer deactivated."

Does that mean EAC is off?
