Just wondering if the GOG download has map creator. I remember building some really huge and stupid maps when I was younger. I want to do that again

You are right, WorldMaster_F is the map editor. However, you might want to contact the customer support since they might be able to help you with your problem.

It works fine for me. What error message are you getting? What's your OS?

I’m using an hp laptop with windows 10. Game works fine.

No error message, it just won’t load. I double click, it thinks, and then stops thinking.

Did you try running it in compatibility mode (I'd say try with Win 98, 95, XP... then the others?)

I actually just tested it on my own Windows 10 laptop and it works fine there too.

Try the compatibility modes, it won't hurt. Also, did you try installing outside Program Files.

You could also try contacting support as the other poster indicated.

Compatibility didn’t work. Mine goes This PC > Windows(C:) > GOG Games > BR Comp

Only other thing I can suggest is try running it as administrator, see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. See if support can be more helpful.

Make sure your game isn't patched/modded. Should have the original .ini and .dat files, there also shouldn't be any background programs that could prevent it from launching.

I got it here on gog. I talked to support and they said it doesn’t work on their test computers. The game works, but the map creator doesn’t. So, it’s not a total loss.

Sorry to hear that. If you want, you could still try:
_ Running it on a virtual XP machine.
_ If you're willing to use Linux, see if it runs through WINE.

Or there is also always the option of finding an old PC and keeping it for those old games that are no longer compatible with new OSs/computers.

I can confirm that it works on Windows XP without a problem. Might setting it to WinXP compatibility should solve your problem.
