okay, so i'm not a technology expert guys, but if you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate them. Battle realms is a big nostalgia game for my brothers and I from when we first started playing games. I just recently bought a new laptop (8 gb ram, 1 tb harddrive, GeForce gtx graphics card, intel core i5+ 8th gen, etc.) It is considered a gaming laptop. I assumed with such high quality gear, a small game like battle realms would play flawlessly. I also haven't had much time to explore this new laptop. first priority was getting this game though lol. So as soon as I start the game, everything seems fine. runs very smoothly through menu. I just played a match and made it to the end, but for some reason it took about 4 or 5 tries and reboots on game. While in lobby, it kept freezing the screen and (I think) changing the resolution. The whole menu screen would go to about have the size and move to the upper left hand side of the screen. I end up having to open task manager and close out of the game. finally after about 4 tries, the game successfully loaded. But throughout the game, while scrolling the screen and moving players, it freezes only for about 2 or 3 seconds at a time, but often enough to get irritating. while it freezes, whatever noise you were hearing would play again and again, until the freeze stops and it would continue running. I have gone through and changed compatibility settings a couple of times and changed it to run as administrator. Can't notice any significant differences. I ran a regular skirmish to see if it was a multiplayer issue and the problem followed, so that rules the internet issue out. The laptop is windows 10 btw, JUST BOUGHT IT. please give me any advice that might fix problem. Also, everytime I launch the game, I get a windows notification recommending a different resolution for compatibility. it doesn't tell me im using a wrong resolution, it just tells me the game might run smoother on it, but it wont give me the option to change it to it. 1920 x 1080 is what it recommends. the game does not give me that option.
