I found something which may be interesting for people trying to get the most out of the game's strategies. These are charts published at the time, with the units' strength/weaknesses and counterparts. I remember having checked them in-game, fully patched, a few years ago - I think they're still relevant, even if they lack the extension units.

And some useful tactics:

Some tactics are very well hidden. Actually, some tips were suggested by the manual, even though they were "hidden" by a lot of very interesting background (the manual is really worth reading, it's more of a background story than a gameplay guide, by the way). For example, if you wait for the Blade Disciple to sharpen his weapons (it's an idle animation!), their next attack will inflict more damage. Some things might have been altered by patches, but most tips (like spearmen being immune to height effects when on higher grounds) are still relevant.

Thanks, man! I marked those! hehehe
I can't believe a warlock can defeat a werewolf.
These stats are outdated, ALOT of units in the expansion got their resistances/weaknesses changed.
For instance, Zymeth can destroy an entire army of sword-users in the original, but he will get owned by a few sword-users in the expansion. Likewise, Soban will pretty much lose to any blade/blunt melee units in the original, but he is a melee tank in the expansion.
