Solidwtf2: So whenever the game hits a load zone (say, running down a long corridor) the game hitches for a second then resumes. I don't remember this happening at all on my old setup, did anyone ever find a fix for this? By the way, Physx is already turned off, so it's not that.
Every game made in Unreal Engine 3 has that problem, no one escapes it, that's the Engine's fault
But for Asylum I use DXVK (DirectX to VulKan) with it to increase overall performance and whenever these zone-loading stutters occur at least the next time the same area loads, these hitches are massively reduced. on my laptop (RTX 3060 + i7 12th gen) It works whether PhysX is on or off
But you may have different results than me so I recommend you test it yourself (just place "d3d9.dll" from the "32x" folder wherever Asylum's exe is located)
BTW you can still mod the game along with DXVK
