One person on our steam forums said they had luck running the demo in Proton https://steamcommunity.com/app/837460/discussions/0/1863867856224339056/
We haven't been able to test it out ourselves though. Curious to hear if other people have tried that or other options. We'd love to do an official port at some point but can't promise anything at the moment unfortunately.

Thank you for the answer and the link.
I can understand that making a game's alternative ports (especially if not planned from the beginning) may be difficult, but — you can still bring us demo here, on GOG ;) I often use demos to check if a game works fine on my OS and hardware, it would be nice.
