Breaker Bow:
you need to position yourself to hit 3 target by each shot (4 times, the central target remains sole for the 5th shot), and do Perfect Shots each time.
Extra damage upgrades will help, though not stricktly necessary.
UPDATE: Do NOT complete this area 1st prize until you built the Memorial!

Fang Repeater:
I'll be honest, I have no idea, this is though. There is a trick mechanic I know though.
Obvivously bigger clip, faster shooting and faster reload all help, but no idea on the perfect combination.
There is a tricky mechanic I got aware of: when you change direction, the platforms in that direction will immediately start to fall, and each time they collapse faster. So the trick is, to shoot all traget on a passage, then before stepping to the corner use your time to shoot targets you can see from where you are.
Also, pots, and other decorations worth nothing in this challenge.
UPDATE: what you need here, is actualy the use of two more buttons than usual, namely rolling (evade) for faster movement, and shitf (this auto-aims your weapon, though be aware that Fang Repeater is NOT the most precise weapon in existence, so try to keep in close proximity to targets). This leads to a frantic run, but at least I've managed to get 2nd prize. What seems to work is more ammo, and faster shooting combined.
As 3rd prize is always just some special skill, I feel fine for now.

And no, in neither proving ground you are allowed to use special abilities, so don't even try.

War Machete
Run in to the middle, and start whcking around. Your aim is to get rid of as many of the cowardly ghosts before they fully materialise.
You will have to throw your machete for certain targets. When throwing start with the turrets, as they are annoying. Otherwise, you won't loose many HP in this one.
What will help here is the "throw two machete at once" 2nd tier special ability. It's not much, but can be enough. Unfortunately the ghosts' movement is very random-dependent, so you fight the random here.
UPDATE: Do NOT complete this area 1st prize until you built the Memorial! (You probably can't anyway.)

(bull) shield
This is not bullsh*t.
What you should do is, against turret get yourself a safe distance to give yourself time to react.
For ghosts (gas-fellows) get melee.
Try to separate the enemy, trying to fight two at once,, especialy if at least one is a turret, can easily be deadly.
Watch out that ghosts can push you over the edge (not likely, they aren't the though variety, but still).
When you fight the mini-ghosts, I think the only way to defeat one is when first you block and it passes you, then turns and tries to hit you again. As the mini-ghosts are especialy unaware of their sorrounding, so separating them can be a trouble.
Also, if you can't make it that only one enemy attacks you at a time, and the second is a turret, make the turret hit the other target, it'll finish it off for you.

hammer
There's nothing much to say here. Try to not spend time on the big stuff which'd require multiple hits, and destroy multiple things by each hit.
Unfortunately I feel this challenge is extremly random-dependent, as the hitbox, and the way the character swings the axe are not reliable.
Though I've managed to win 2nd prize, that was more luck, and the hammer-upgrades don't seem to help either. Maybe the character upgrades from the tavern might on way higher character levels.
UPDATE: also try to roll over things (evade move). Still bloody hard.

musket
Finaly something easy. Pack more focused shots, and bigger knockback, and push those targets to the abyss.

Duealing Pistols
- buy extra damage and stability
- get werewhisky in the tavern (ability shop)
- go to the place
- fall off until the whiskey kicks in
- press down shift, and shoot when you hear the whistling
- collect reward

NOTE: to get the achievement in the memorial, you CAN'T win the prize here. Even with no extra damage, the dummies only survive 7-8 shots, not the 12 you need.
