+1 for the Linux version on GOG. I don't know if it's GOG or WB, but someone really should get this worked out.
I would love to have the Linux version on GOG. The only thing I will mention is that GOG doesn't force developers to put specific versions on the site. If a developer chooses to only put Windows or Mac on GOG I don't think there is anything that can be done. It is possible that the developer or publisher has a deal with Valve to keep the Linux version on Steam. In any case I hope we see the Linux version of Bastion and any other game on GOG at some point.
Thankfully I have the Linux version with Steam, but really would like to have it with my GOG copy as well.

Is the Steam client required to play the game? Or is the client only needed for the installation?

Good question. I'll test it the next time I open my laptop; thus far I had only opened it from Steam for convenience. (Which I realize can also be an inconvenience~)

Just checked the Linux version provided by Steam. You can run the executable directly without Steam being open. Hope that helps! :)

Asked the support for Linux support for Bastion on GOG, here is the answer:
"We continue to expand our Linux catalog and we do our best to add Linux-supported games to our offer as often as possible.
Many of our premiere indie titles offer native Linux versions already and we're constantly working on adding Linux compatibility to our back-catalog games as well. It's hard to tell when--or if--a specific game will undergo that treatment, as it requires not only technical work, but also licensing agreements. We hope, however, that you'll find our existing Linux catalog already quite impressive."
Seems like the standart answer to this topic. Lets see if they change this in the future.

Greetings, Jochen
Ah, linux version finally come here.
Is there a 64-bit binary for Linux?

Hello Michael,
I've just popped over to this thread after seeing the announcement on GoL. I'd just like to say a huge thank you to Supergiant and the good folks at GoG for making the Linux version available. I already own it on Humble Bundle, but may well end-up purchasing it again here just to support GoG.

Once again, thank you for not neglecting Linux gamers and bringing it over to (in my opinion) the best DRM free games shop.

P.S. I've been very much enjoying the Linux version of Transistor on GoG as well.
