Hey folks,

Can someone walk me through the entire process of hosting a MP game?

I am having trouble getting it to play correctly and my friend keeps failing to connect.
Are you using a router?
Hey, general rules for self-hosted multiplayer games:

1.) Pick a port number (let's use 57165 since that's the default)
2.) Google your router model and "port forward". Hopefully you'll find a guide for your router. Generally the result is setting up a port forward in the "range" or "internal/external" port 57165-57165, and TCP/UDP or "both" for protocol.
3.) Save, then host a multiplayer game on your PC. Visit the website "canyouseeme" to see if the website can see your server on port 57165.
4.) Then your friend types your global IP (canyouseeme reports that for you) in the format 192.168.0.1:57165 and it should connect.
