Just curious. Two crashes, both when I'm playing Balrum. Yeah, my system is old and dying, but hasn't happened with anything else. One moment I'm playing, the next my screen goes blank and my computer is off.

edit: well, not just Balrum, now. I just tried playing Hacknet and same thing happened.

If your computer shuts down on it's own, there's most likely something wrong with your computer. There is almost no way game with as low requirements as Balrum cause your system to shut down. CTD (Crash to desktop) sure but even those are pretty rare with this game.

Only situation I can think of where game could cause system shut down is when game causes components to overheat (faulty or underpowered fan/cooling system or insufficient air circulation) or to draw more power than your power supply can handle (under-powered or failing PSU). That's when your system may perform emergency shutdown to avoid component damage. But Balrum hardly qualifies as you could run it with a potato.

Lol. Yeah, after some investigating, the fault is my video card fan.

At least you found the cause. Hopefully the overhearing did not cause any permanent damage.

Well, it was time to dump that thing anyway. It was wearing out. I actually bought a new desktop yesterday so it's all good now! (knock on wood)
