I recently bought a MacBook since my Thinkpad died, and when I went to install my favorite games I noticed that I couldn't find BGEE on Galaxy for OS X. Looking even closer at the store page for BGEE, I noticed that it says only Windows is supported. What happened to the Mac and Linux versions of the game on Galaxy, and when are they coming back? Also, why does the store page say only Windows is supported when you can still download the Mac and Linux installers on the GOG website?

Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching the BG forums on GOG, and I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

PS: I should note that the Mac and Linux versions of Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga still show up for Mac and Linux on Galaxy.

Edit: I changed my original post to correctly reflect the questions being asked. I also changed certain lines of the post to sound less like a witch hunt.

PS: I should note that the Mac and Linux versions of Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga are still available, but since you have to buy the Enhanced Edition in order to get it I think that's quite the raw deal. You can also still get the Mac and Linux versions of Siege of Dragonspear.
In your account (gog.com), in the downloads section where it says "OS" there's a drop-down menu. Options Windows / Mac / Linux.

I think you misunderstood what my post is about. I know where it's supposed to be. I'm saying the Mac and Linux versions have been removed from GOG. Even the store page says the game is only supported on Windows.

You're wrong. I just clicked on the links in my account and downloaded:
(Mac)
baldurs_gate_enhanced_edition_2.5.0.15.pkg
and
(Linux)
gog_baldur_s_gate_enhanced_edition_2.5.0.8.sh

Sorry. I suppose I haven't worded my posts well. They weren't removed from GOG, and you are right that if you click on the BGEE in your library you can see the installers for all platforms. However, what I was referring to was that the store page states the game is only supported on Windows, and that the game does not show up on Galaxy for Mac or Linux. I think this is just an error on GOG's end, because you can still install BGEE through Galaxy on Mac if you disable the "platform" filter. Here's a screenshot from the store page.

What you did was fail to mention Galaxy anywhere in your question.

Right. I changed the OP to more accurately reflect the issues I am experiencing. I've become so used to using Galaxy that I forgot to check the actual GOG site for the installers. I am still looking for answers to my questions about Mac and Linux support missing on the store page and Galaxy.

Cheers.

I don't use Galaxy so I can't speak for that, but the store page on the web site does not say it's for Windows only. There is a link you press for Mac/Linux information, which states:

"Minimum system requirements - Mac: OS X 10.7.0 or later
Processor: Dual Core Processor
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Graphics: OpenGL 2.0 compatible
Hard Drive: 2.17 GB HD space
Keyboard & Mouse

Minimum system requirements - Linux: Ubuntu 14.04 / Mint 17
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Drive: 2 GB available space
Keyboard & Mouse

Requires the following packages to be installed:

libc6:i386 libasound2:i386 libasound2-data:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386 libjson-c2:i386 libopenal1:i386 libstdc++6:i386 libssl1.0.0:i386 libexpat1:i386 libx11-6:i386 libxau6:i386 libxcb1:i386 libxcursor1:i386 libxdmcp6:i386 libxext6:i386 libxfixes3:i386 libxinerama1:i386 libxrandr2:i386 libxrender1:i386 libjson0:i386

The Linux version of Baldur's Gate The Original Saga requires:
Ubuntu 14.04 / Linux Mint 17
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz+ or equivalent
Memory: 2 GB
Graphics: 256 MB of video memory.

Requires the following packages to be installed: Wine and dependencies.

Notice: The Linux version comes with a 32-bit binary only. This is a Wine game and requires your local Wine package in order to play."

So yeah, it seems it's a purely cosmetic issue in Galaxy. I can imagine it's annoying, but Galaxy is not known for it's 'bug-free-ness' or robustness.

Sure. I'm more referring to the top of the store page where it lists the platforms that are available. It only says Windows. This means that when you filter by platform (Mac or Linux) BGEE does not show up. It seems like someone accidentally changed the platform tags for BGEE, and nobody has noticed and fixed it yet. Perhaps I should just submit a support ticket so that they are aware the problem exists.
