After some more testing, the turn undead bug only lives in the "legarcy of bhall" difficulty... that is turn undead does NOT work at that level but does work on all levels below.

One thing to test: If you raise your Cleric's level to something ridiculously high for that point in the game (for example, with cheats), does turn undead still fail on that difficulty?

(Also, what's "ds"?)

I played the entire Dragonspear with a cleric whose Turn Undead did not work at all, and I got heartily sick and tired of people telling me it did work, and I must be doing something wrong; right, because I don't know how to use Turn Undead! Sigh!

Sorry Hickory… I remember you said turn undead doesn’t work in ds (dagonspear) but that’s only partly true… turn works at all difficulty levels apart from Legarcy of bhaal.

My test procedure;
Create a lawful good cleric … export her to the game character file.
After starting a new game with this same cleric have her summon her own skelly warrior and start doing turn undead.
On any level but legacy of Bhaal the skelly will be turned “run away or just collapse” …

I couldn't swear to it, but I'm 99% certain I wasn't playing on Legacy of Bhaal difficulty, since my self-imposed rules on rolling characters precludes insane difficulties -- I usually play on core rules. I played through with a Neutral Good cleric, and Turn Undead did not work... at all. Not once.
