Edit - Nevermind. I saw a couple of help posts on google telling people that you pressed ctrl+tab to activate the console. Turns out it's ctrl+space! Who know? (Probably most of you, humour me.) New technical difficulty - I can't find a way to delete this post.

Hey mates! I'm hoping you can help.

I'm playing a Kensai dualled to a mage, and I'm hoping to get both the fighter and mage strongholds. I've been trying to activate the console so that I can get more than one. I know there's a mod that lets you get more than one, but - in the spirit of cheating to see more content, I was also hoping to use it to spawn characters (like Roenall) that you normally have to wait for ages to see, so I can go through the sidequests of companions that I don't like enough to play with for the whole game.

In baldur.ini, I've tried putting "Debug Mode=1" under [program options] and I've put "Cheats=1" under [Game Options]. The file was in C:\Program files(x86)\GoG Galaxy\Games\Baldur's Gate 2. I checked C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore but the folder was empty.

I'm using Windows 10, and I'm running Weidu and Unfinished Business. I think I applied the fixpack, but I can't remember.

Better to use mods, though, really. Just cheating in characters might lead to various glitches.
