I am at the last battle on werewolf island against kaishas and there is an error. It says:
An Assertion failed in D:\Dev\chitin\ChVideo.ccp at line number 5389.
Basically she initiates talking once I see her and then keeps repeating and multiplying. There is no way around it. I tried to cast fireballs to kill her when not on the screen and it does not matter, same thing keeps happening. I am stuck because you need to beat her to leave the island. I plan to go back toUlgoth’s. Beard and finish aec-telec battle then iron throne in b gate.
Please help me figure how to get past this error.
Using dell inspiron 3847
Intel r core tm i5-4460 cpu @ 3.20 GHz 3.20
64 bit operating system
Windows 10 version 1909.

You didn't specify which game version are you playing. I would try to reinstall the game, as it seems that there's an issue with one of the files.

The other solution would be to maybe try to kill her with cheat codes? I'm not sure if that will solve the issue.
Do you have any mods installed? What's your screen resolution?
Original game not enhanced edition
Screen resolution is 1280x1024
Ok if I reinstall will it effect saved game?
Or should I try some codes to get by this one battle?
I did not set up any cheat codes or anything when I started so I don’t know how.
If u can send me step by step directions it would be awesome. Thanks.
You didn't say if you have any mods installed.

Reinstalling the game doesn't affect savegames, so yeah I suppose you can try reinstalling it.
In order to enable cheat codes, go to the Baldur's Gate folder and open Baldur.ini file. This file should open in a Notepad. You need to go under [Game Options] and add a line Cheats=1. So, it should look like this in the file:

[Game Options]
Cheats=1

Then when you launch the game, you can open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Tab keys. Now, in your issue I would try to kill Kaishas with the codes. I'm not sure it'll stop her from multiplying, but that's what I would try. To be able to do that you need to type in the cheat console:

CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()

Now when you have your mouse cursor on any creature and press Ctrl + Y it will immediately die. You won't get the experience for that creature of course, but that's the least of your problems in this case I think. Killing Kaishas doesn't grant huge amount of exp anyway.

He said he's playing the original BG, which doesn't have that cheat.

Could be something wrong with the werewolf animation or the special spell that changes her into werewolf form. Which is why I asked if he has any mods installed, because there shouldn't be any such problem in vanilla BGTotSC.
The original has that cheat, I just did it on a Gibberling. See the attached screenshot.

There *shouldn't* be such problem in the original game. That's why my first suggestion was to do a re-install. This usually fixes any broken files in the game.

When I said *that* cheat, I meant it doesn't have the CTRL+Y instakill cheat; I didn't say it doesn't have cheats...
Yet it does have "that" Ctrl + Y instakill cheat. I did that today and made the screenshot, where the game auto-pauses because Xzar noticed a diseased gibberling and I insta-gibbed it with that particular cheat. I can make another proof, if that's not enough.
I see it does. Actually never knew that. Interesting.
