Hello everyone!

Are there 3DS/DS games that either play in a similar fashion or have the same amount of complexity that the BG series has?

Sort of off topic but does Beamdog still have beef with Nintendo? Someone from Beamdog said they hate Nintendo because of lengthy registration times and technical issues. Not really sure if that makes them hypocrites; with them taking 2 years to get BG:EE running...and still having problems afterwards. I did enjoy MDK 2 though.

I wanted games like this on console my whole life, since I didn't have a PC for a long time. It's a miracle there are now games like Wasteland 2 and Divinity Original Sin on PS4. You won't find a whole lot on consoles period, much less a specific favorite platform. The New 3DS model can play Xenoblade, which is the closest you'll get. It has a western sort of combat that has similarities to Knights of the Old Republic or Dragon Age.

There is nothing like Baldur's Gate 1/2 or any other WRPG on the DS or 3DS.

The best dungeon crawling experience on the DS/3DS is the Etrian Odyssey series. EO 1-3 is on the original DS but there are remakes plus a series continuation on the 3DS with EO 4. They are fun games but nothing like Baldur's Gate.

Some other options are Shiren the Wanderer for DS and The Dark Spire for DS. Again, they aren't like Baldur's Gate but they are dungeon crawlers which is as close as you are going to get for those systems.

There are also the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games but those are extremely easy as they are made for children.

Anyway, I listed these games as I consider them to be homages to the WRPG genre. They are not WRPGs but they are inspired by WRPGs so I think they are interesting to play and compare to "true" WRPGs.
