Is it possible to buy Siege of Dragonspear on GOG, after having bought BG:EE from Beamdog directly? I purchased the main game before it was released on GOG, and have had nothing but trouble with Beamdog's downloader and website, so if possible I'd like to buy the expansion here, not there.

Yes. They have it in the store right here on GoG. Just...search for it.

Yes, I can see that I can buy it.

What I'm unsure of is if there'll be any problem running the expansion, bought from here, when I bought the main game from Beamdog.

Unless they've changed it, the enhanced edition from Beamdog has a completely different installation structure, so I would not put any money on it being compatible. The GOG version installs logically, just like the originals. The Beamdog enhanced edition uses/used some crazy data subfolders.
