Hi I need help with an issue with the quick save, it's giving me a message if i want to quit the game cause my save failed. i also like to note that any of my other saves don't have problems that i made,except my main save,. anyway, anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?
It would be much appreciated, thanks

When such a message appears I'd try making a new normal save and delete the quicksave.

I tried that, but am unable to delete the quick save . This is the message i get in it's entirety "save game failed, do you wish to quit" . Hope that helps.

Can't it be because of win Vista and 7 UAC preventing you from making new files? Try running the game in admin mode, or to install it to another location than Program Files, if that is the case

I tried admin mode already, and yes on each compatibility mode ,I however haven't done the UAC idea out yet. I will see if that is the problem, and let ya'll know either way. ok i tried turning UAC off, and my newest save files disappeared/ anyone know why?

It should be in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Application_name

You will need to move them to either the games folder now in program files or C:\Users\User_name\saved games. It may also be C:\Users\User_name\My Documents, depending on where the game saves files now.

Best way to find it would probably be start a new game and make a save called something unquie and use windows search to find the file and the path.

Thanks Ralackk for your help that seemed to do the trick. apparently the save files, my 2 newest ones, were located in the virtua store,so i took your advice and moved them to my program files/baldurs gate saves. thanks again.
