Hey folks! Thanks for the threads providing help on use of the console; they got me past a bit of a pickle in one side quest.

I have a question though: can I use the console to "restore" or locate a missing / dead NPC whose storyline I haven't started? If an NPC can be restored, will the character appear at his or her normal location or will he or she appear next to me? The one in particular is Gorje, from the BG2 Illithium ore quest. I used CreateItem to get around the illithium ore part but I'd still like to find him because I think interaction is supposed to trigger a tertiary quest.

I think what happened is that I took things "out of order" and bumped into Gorje long before I started the ore quest, and he ran off to who-knows-where after a short conversation that didn't include the ore quest storyline; I can't find him anywhere in <avoiding a spoiler> that location.

Georje is part of Unfinished Business, and he disappears to the Temple of Amaunator (read the readme).
That's where I first encountered him (in the rooms beyond the tiled floor) before triggering the ore quest and that's where I've been looking. I've even been using my +3 Fine-Toothed Comb of Seeking in the attempt to find him. I think he beat feet because he certainly isn't hanging out in the temple any longer. This is why I'm hoping he can be brought back here - or otherwise located - using the console.

He can't be 'located' via the console. If an actor is scripted to leave an area, they are either moved to another location or just leave (no location). The problem, as I see it, is that the mod script may have set some variables that will prevent him from even interacting with you again, even if you did 'relocate' him. I'm not too familiar with UB, but all I can suggest is to spawn a new copy of him at Unger Hilldark's location in the Copper Coronet (this may not work):

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("FindGorje","GLOBAL","1")
CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("GORJE")
Thank you kindly.

Gave it a shot. Actually, I tried the second option last night but nothing seemed to happen. Tried the first command just now and he magically appeared in that long hallway that curves south-eastward once past the entrance to the wooden bridge to the lava-floor room (he was standing by the magic door that I never managed to get open). And the storyline works - after talking with Gorje in the temple I bumped into him and Unger at the Copper Coronet. I'm now on the track to find (and presumably do painful things to) Neb.

Thanks, and solved!
