One method of doing this trick (possible at level 7 for a mage, level 9 for a sorcerer, or level 10 for a bard) is as follows:

1. Cast Minor Sequencer. Put Shocking Grasp in the sequencer. (The other spell doesn't matter, except that it should be something you don't mind casting on yourself.)
2. Cast Polymorph Self, then transform.
3. Use the Minor Sequencer on yourself.

You are now a bear/flind/mustard jeppy/sword spider who is ready to deliver an electric shock. After the shock has been delivered, you are now using your normal weapons, *not* the natural weapons of your transformed form. You can now wield swords as a mustard jelly, or shoot slings as a sword spider!

I like this trick simply because of how ridiculous it is, though I haven't used it much in real combat. It is one way to make good use of Aerie at lower levels, for example.

How much time do you actually spend on coming up with these ridiculous exploits, and how much time do you spend actually playing the game? Ludicrous.

I find it more fun to experiment and play around with ridiculous exploits than I do playing the game. What's wrong with that?

Nothing... for you. But you asked for thoughts. Don't be surprised when you get them.
One interesting point: While playing Icewind Dale (which is based on the same engine), I had my fighter/druid shapechange into a bear for extra attacks and strength. An enemy just happened to hit her with Dispel Magic, and it dispelled her weapons without dispelling her form. In other words, her natural weapons were canceled by accident.

This might be possible in Baldur's Gate 2, provided that a dispel check is passed.

(Of course, the Enhanced Editions have to spoil the fun by making those weapons non-dispellable.)
