Hello everyone!

In the engine room of the planar sphere, there is a monster in the center of the room. What is it supposed to be? It vaguely resembles a marilith. Mariliths are pretty big but they aren't that huge. Something of that size might be an astral dreadnought. But if Lavok were so powerful that he could tame an astral dreadnought, the fight with him would be absolutely impossible.

Can't remember well which room you are speaking. Though in 3ed the marilith can increase HD and after certain levels their size increase too. But, would be a very powerful Marilith and indeed the fight with Lavok should be impossible.
You mean the statue? I had to go look at a photo, it's been a few years. It doesn't seem to be multi-armed, so it's not a Marilith. Looks like a statue of Baphomet, to me - a giant, minotaur-ish demon lord of the Tanar'ri.

Just a guess. Quick Google search didn't give me an answer.

It has another set of arms closer to the bottom.

Yeah, I phrased that as badly as possible. Marilith are supposed to have six arms, so I meant "multi-armed enough". Most of the art I've seen for the Tanar'ri Lord Baphomet has him with four arms.
