Did anybody else catch this error? Page 138 of the BG1 manual.

Seriously? You're expecting people to brush off their manuals without explaining what the hell you're talking about? I've got a very good idea, but that's not the point.

Also, it's common knowledge that the BG and IWD manuals have many errors in them.

I apologize for not explaining what I meant. On page 138 there's a table with thief skills. Instead of "picking pockets" it says "picking pickets".
