Hey I know where the files are stored for the characters in balders 1 and 2 but for some reason this gog version wont save my exported characters in its file? It will save it in balders 1 in gameplay and will import back but it wont create a new character in the character file for me to send over to balders 2....... Please help!
Did you install to Program Files?
I have a gog.com in my progamsx86 and inside it i have my baulders 1 and 2 and fallout 2 folders in there and inside those i have all the normal files from a disc but they are not updating the characters..

Yeah, you don't want to install games to Program Files. It's a protected folder, or something, so I believe your saved games are getting shunted somewhere else, and BG2 is supposed to only be reading one folder, so it can't find them. I would find the saves, copy them somewhere safe, uninstall both games (although you may be able to get away with just uninstalling BG1?) and reinstall in c:/ thought there is probably an easier way to do things.
Figured it out from a very old forum on here... Had to just make my hidden files appear and its in appdata and then virtualstore and then its there with your new saved games in there, thanks tho for the advice.
