Have you got the rope? There's two you can get I think, but you only need one of them. What happens, does the leave area icon not show up at the entrance to the underdark?

I know that one rope can be obtained from opening the treasury after the Prince has taken control of the city (with your help of course).

The King will also give you a rope if you side with him.

I know you can pickpocket *something* from the king but I don't know if it is the rope. You most likely can't finish the level without helping either Sahuagin Leaders,

thanks! but the problem is that i have killed the prince and than the king led me to the underdark enterance, gave me my reward and when i finished talk to him- he just vanished!!

The 'magical rope' is part of the reward from the king, along with a pair of gauntlets, a rod and some gold.

The King should have given it (the rope) to you after giving the king the prince's heart.

If it is not in your inventory or on the ground you can either reload and try again. Or you could console it in (I don't know the console but I'll look to see if I can find it).

Otherwise you could look back at the throne room and see if the king is there - you could pickpocket off of him or you could kill him for it (not sure if either work after what you have done however but I am guessing it will).

AGAIN- I SEARCHED ALL THE CITY AND THE KING IS GONE...

P.S. i went to my last saving at brynnlaw- and I've got problem over there too- i gave Saemon the horn he asked me for and then, instead of going to the ship, the screen remains in the inn and then Desharik yell at him and after that Saemon just don't talk to me...

It's weird..i think the game is stuck or something like that....

AGAIN-THE KING IS SUPPOSED TO GIVE YOU THE ITEMS.

As suggested earlier, use the console - instructions are here and the item code is "miscbi"

It should be in the game directory.

MODs are user created modifications such as Baldurdash, Unfinished Business or the BG2 Tweak Pack

If you don't know what they are then it's likely you haven't installed any.

Just activate cheats.

Magical Rope (I think that's it), has an item code of "MISCBI"

Just spawn the item and move on.
